ruff ruff

I just told Eli he was eating a hot dog and he started barking.

At his 18-month appointment last week, his doctor was concerned about his speech. He called in some referrals so we'll be having a hearing and speech eval coming up soon. Well, I'm pretty sure my little barking boy can hear me. Who needs English?

On another note, I think it might actually be Fall now! Yes!!

Oh geez! What was the doc worried about exactly? Was it lack of words? Maddy is behind in speech development too I think. Lots of babbling and not any "real" words at 12 months. Why do they put so much pressure on these little babes? I am glad my doctor is kick-back. He evens me out. Eli sounds like he is thriving. He certainly lets you know what he wants after all.

I adore seeing the colored leaves on the ground there and he's so stinkin' cute!

I've heard that if they understand you, regardless of whether or not they speak, that's the most important thing, and he obviously understands!
