Nine weeks! Almost to double digits! It seems like everything fun happens after you hit double digits.
So, I've been thinking about fetal nicknames. It seems like most moms have in-utero nicknames for their babies and I want one, too. At first I was thinking it should be some kind of food, because, well, I love food. "Cupcake" was one of my first thoughts and maybe the only one I've liked well enough to keep considering. It'd be nice if it had some kind of meaning. I guess I figured as time went on, something would come up that just fit, but so far that hasn't happened yet. So I thought I'd throw it out to you all and see if anyone has any great suggestions, even if it's just for the sake of interesting discussion. What do you think? What have you heard? What did you use?

We called Lorelai Manamana (from the Dr. Pepper commercials that were popular when she was conceived.) This one is just Baby Sister. I think you should call the baby carriegardner. :)
Well, we called Conrad "Beeb," but only really when we talked about/wrote about him to others. I guess when I talked to him, it was just "baby" until we found out he was a boy at the 20-week sonogram, then it was "baby boy," and then 3 months before he was born we finally picked a name, so obviously we called him that when we talked to him from then on. P.S. I'm so excited you have this blog! I kept a pregnancy blog (now a devoted Conrad blog) for some friends and family, too--it'll be neat for you to be able to look back as you progress, read it years down the road, or even for any future pregnancies. :) ~ Rebecca S. ~
We called Daniel "Butter Bean", just coz that's what he looked like in the sonogram. I honestly can't remember what we called Matthew. (Bad Mother!!) My friend at work calls her baby "Tater".

Jack was "grasshopper" because that's what D said he looked like in his 7wk ultrasound. Once he got bigger it switched to "baby" though, so his knickname didn't really take.
uh mine for the girls were baby A and baby B.. lol.. that's what the dr's named them :D
We called Kierstin "buddy." I don't know where that came from. I know it started before we knew she was a girl. I think it started because we'd talk to her and say "hi buddy" and then once it caught on, Jeff would say things like "How's the buddy today?" I know that it stuck for a long time even though we knew she was a girl because we couldn't agree on a name until like the 8th month. :)
