A few ground rules:
- Nothing crazy, like Apple.
- Nothing especially foreign and/or ethnic. I'm not narrow-minded, I just like names that can be pronounced and have fewer than 10 letters and 4 syllables.
- However, it must have more than one syllable, since our last name has only one.
- No B names. Again with the last name.
- Here are some family names you can't pick: John, Patrick, David, Allan, Daniel, Ryan, Matthew, Michael, Edward, Todd, Josiah, Jude, Benjamin, and of course, Joshua or Noah. Or Jonah, after the cat.
My anatomy scan was scheduled for 12/2, but today the OB's office called to say they had to reschedule my appointment. Since they only do them on Tuesdays, they made it a week earlier on the 25th! So only two weeks until we have confirmation that Baby has a penis. I had a sudden feeling of fear recently after purchasing an armful of blue things, but I'm pretty sure the goods couldn't have been mistaken. If that were to happen, I would be in a tailspin, but at least we'd have a name. Ha!
Hats off today to my husband, veteran extraordinaire!

Other 1st names: Carter, Carson, Lucas (woo hoo! :) Micah, Mitchell

I love Logan and would have used it, but I can't have a Lorelai and a Logan. :) I say Logan. It's a cute name.
We like Logan... but as a middle name.
Whoa, all of a sudden I can leave comments from work! Yay!
All the names on your "names you can't pick" list are ones I like and would have suggested. Dang it.
And why the no-one-syllable-names rule? Josh has one syllable. Okay, well I will try to brainstorm for you, even inside these constraining limitations ;)
I agree with Erin...you can do more than one syllable for the first name since Burke is one syllable. It sounds good that way!
I too like Logan for a middle name or first name.
Matthew's middle name is "Rion" (I spelled it different since Matthew was so traditional and kinda after "Orion" the constellation). :)
I like the names that Kate put down too.

P.S. Happy Marine Corps birthday on Monday and Happy Veterans day on Tuesday to Josh from Marine Veteran *me*! :)
I have a few more...
Nicholas Logan Burke
Nathan Logan Burke
Patty
Josh is Joshua = 3 syllables.
Potato, Po-tah-toe. He goes by Josh, so it counts. But whatever, they're your rules, so I'll play.
Not to be argumentative, but actually, he doesn't. I just call him Josh. He always calls himself Joshua!
I'm waiting for a suggestion from you anyway :D
I like Isaac or Isaiah with Logan as a middle name!!!
Micah
Hmmm...that is quite a few limitations...here are some I like although not all would sound so great with Logan as a middle name...
Timothy, Cameron, Andrew, Jameson, Anthony, Spencer, or Tristan...
I also like some others already noted like Carter, Carson, and Micah...
Names are so difficult! We ended up with the name I new we would - even a after my debating the issue for 3 days in the hospital. I like Timothy, Gregory, Samuel, Edward, and James to mention a few. James and Edward were on our short list for middle names. I'd have to really think about more.
Jonathan Logan
Ooh, I like Jonathan Logan too! Oh, but wait, John was on your "no no" list.
Have you guys looked through a name book?
We've read tons of books. *sigh*
My suggestions are Logan, Mason, Shawn/Sean, or Colton. I see that many others also suggested Logan. Shawn Logan Burke, Mason Shawn Burke....anything is better that "Little Dude"........LOL!!
I say you go with Jacob. :)
